Approach
Angle
The approach angle is the angle between the ground and a line
running from the tire to the front bumper (as viewed from
the side). The approach angle indicates how steep a ramp a
vehicle can negotiate without touching the surface. In off-road
driving, it provides a good indication of a vehicle's ability
to climb over rocks without damaging the front of the vehicle’s
body or chassis. Source: Toyota
