Acorn
Nut
An acorn nut is a hexagonal nut with an acorn shaped dome
on the top. Acorn nuts provide an effective way of sealing
and protecting exposed threaded parts. Because acorn nuts
are only open at one end, they can only be screwed down a
certain distance before the bolt (or other threaded part)
hits the top dome on the inside.
