The Spatz (German for sparrow) microcar was spawned from
a concept seen at the 1954 Paris Auto Salon.
The original prototype - the Brutsch Spatz 200 - was deemed
unroadworthy.
But by 1955 a completly redesigned Spatz was offered with
a Fitchel and Sachs two stroke engine.
The Spatz was later sold under the firm BAG (Bayerische
Auto Gesellschaft) as the Victoria 250, this car had a
250 cc engine and was capable of 60 mph.
As far as microcars go the Spatz was one of the more attractive
vehicles on offer.
