While most quad bikes are designed specifically for off-road
use, the Cectek Quadrift 500EFI has been developed especially
for on-road use.
This means more protective bodywork - which shields the
rider from road spray and debris while at the same time
giving the machine a more civilized appearance.
The Quadrift 500EFI is aimed at commuters who want something
a bit bigger than a scooter or motorbike, but something
smaller (and more exhilarating) than a compact car.
Power for the Quadrift comes from a 500 cc engine which
produces 20 horsepower. The transmission is handled by
a clutchless CVT unit. It's not blisteringly fast, but
it can reach 40mph in 5.2 seconds so keeping up with commuter
traffic shouldn't be a problem.
The wheels and tires of the Quadrift 500EFI are identical
to car tires - unlike most quad bike wheels which are
great for scrambling through mud, but not ideal for daily
road use. The fitment of roadgoing tires helps reduce
tire noise and also improve fuel consumption.
A range of accessories for the vehicle mean that owners
can customize the vehicle to suit their needs. The accessories
include more stylish and aggressive bodywork, additional
storage boxes, different windscreens and a tow hitch.
