The Toyota FJ Cruiser first seen at the 2003 Detroit Auto
Show continued a line of rugged Toyota performance vehicles
dating back to the FJ 40 from the 1960's.
The FJ Cruiser's design is influenced by previous Toyota
trucks, evident by the wide narrow grille housing two
round headlights, the upright windshield and the arcing
rear windows covering the FJ Cruisers rear corners.
The FJ Cruiser concept is powered by a supercharged
3.4 litre V6 engine producing 250 horsepower. Useful outdoor
features of the FJ include spotlights on both outer mirrors
and a front mounted winch with an offset spotlight. The
interior of the FJ Cruiser is rugged yet stylish and with
the seats folded flat the FJ comfortably sleeps two.
