The Suzuki Mobile Terrace from the 2003 Tokyo Motor Show
was a concept which used compact fuel-cell technology,
and steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire systems, all cleverly
packaged to provide as much interior room as possible.
The symmetrical body is accessed through sliding doors
positioned on both sides of the vehicle. Inside, the Mobile
Terrace offers 6 individual seats, all capable of sliding
and rotating individually to provide an informal space. The
instrument panel can be turned into a table, complete
with a built in 22" monitor controlled by a touch
screen panel and voice recognition.
The feeling of space created by the expansive glass house
of the Suzuki Mobile Terrace can further enhanced by opening
the gullwing roof, providing an unimpeded 360° view
of the surrounding area.
