The Sivax Kira concept was revealed at the 2002 Paris
Motor Show. "Kira" is a term used in classic
Japanese literature, meaning twilled white or plain colored
silk representing elegant, beautiful clothing.
The Sivax Kira concept car was designed as a proposal
for - as Sivax puts it - "The Tokyo Street".
Sivax designed the Kira concept in an attempt to design
an automobile as fashion. Using this design philosophy
Sivax designed various elements of the car using highstreet
fashion as inspiration. The split windshield is modeled
on sports sunglasses, the center console is designed to
emulate a big brooch, and the seat covers raise the image
of a Japanese kimono.
Sivax is a design and engineering company who offer product
design and development assistance to automotive companies
and manufacturers.
