The Nissan NV200 concept which was designed at Nissan's
European design studio in Paddington, London, went on
display at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show.
The Nissan NV200 is a mobile work station for professionals.
Like the Nissan
Terranaut from 2006 the NV200 hides a full mobile
office in the rear.
The NV200 concept has been set up to accommodate all the
equipment a professional ocean photographer might need.
The interior work area is equipped with a remote control
panel for a spider camera, as well as equipment for organizing
and editing photographs and images while on assignment.
The pullout rear pod houses a variety of diving gear including
flippers, mask, oxygen tanks and an underwater sea
scooter.
Shiro Nakamura, senior vice president and chief creative
officer at Nissan explained the NV200 concept. "A
light commercial vehicle has a specific job to perform,
but that’s no reason to design a purely rational vehicle
with no warmth. For NV200, function becomes the aesthetic.
Our concept is a highly efficient tool but one with a
human touch".
