Revealed at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show, the Nissan Foria
was a compact sports coupe offering a sense of refinement
and quality sometimes lacking in contemporary designs.
The Foria's exterior package is simple and attractive,
with minimal overhangs and clean lines. Under the hood
is a mid-sized engine connected to a paddle shift automatic
transmission which drives the rear wheels. 4-wheel active
steering is designed to reassure the driver at all speeds
while negotiating country roads.
Access to the Foria is improved with the use of suicide
rear doors and the lack of any B-pillars. Once inside
the occupants are offered ivory colored seats while the
dash is covered with a thick, dark brown leather facia,
as is the steering wheel, door inserts and gear selector.
Set amongst this material are metal control panels and
gauges, lending a sporty, yet elegant feel to the Foria's
interior.
The Nissan Foria is not a real 'ground breaking' concept,
instead it is an attractive concept done to a realistic
standard.
