Clubman Vision Gran Turismo
The MINI Clubman Vision Gran Turismo concept is a virtual race
car which can be downloaded and raced in the game Gran Turismo 6 (GT6).
The MINI Clubman Vision Gran Turismo is also a vehicle designed to
show off what MINI's designers are capable of when they're not constrained
by the realities of real-life auto manufacturing.
The MINI Clubman Vision Gran Turismo concept has been conceived as
a go-kart for the road, offering a high degree of dynamic ability,
but at the same time offering bucket-loads of straight-line performance.
The proposed engine is a 395 horsepower unit of undisclosed
size and configuration. Power is channeled to all-four wheels via
a permanent AWD system and a sequential 6-speed paddle-shift transmission.
Fully adjustable dampers at the front and rear mean the car can be
setup to suit different tracks and conditions. The gear ratios can
also be altered to suit the circuit.
MINI say the Clubman Vision Gran Turismo concept will be able to hit
62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds. Top speed of the concept
is 180 mph (290 km/h).
Christopher Weil, Head of MINI Exterior Design, said of the car: "The
MINI Clubman Vision Gran Turismo combines all the hallmark MINI design
features presented in the sportiest and most exciting style. A MINI
like this has never been seen before."
The concept features numerous eye-catching design features,
including the retro-inspired X-shaped LED headlights, inset driving
lights integrated into the grille, sliding side windows, massive 22-inch
wheels and extended wheel arches.
Gamers can select their MINI Clubman Vision Gran Turismo from a total
of five different color variants, and they can adapt the car
to their own preferences in the game.
