The Mazda Minagi concept was one of the vehicles unveiled
at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.
The Minagi concept is being used to showcase Mazda's new
SKYACTIV technologies, and its new design theme called
KODO - which means "Soul of Motion".
According to Mazda; "the Minagi concept is the
forerunner to the launch of Mazda's upcoming next-generation
products and symbolizes the evolution of the Mazda brand
as it begins a new era."
The Mazda Minagi is a compact SUV crossover which is designed
to offer a blend of driving enjoyment, passenger safety,
and environmental credentials.
The Minagi's styling isn't groundbreaking or provocative,
instead it's a conservative but handsome mix of curves
and sharp creases. The chrome trim of the grille - which
runs into the headlights - is one of the design highlights.
The Mazda Minagi features SKYACTIV technologies throughout,
including a SKYACTIV engine and SKYACTIV transmission
fitted to a SKYACTIV-Body and chassis.
SKYACTIV is a word Mazda use to describe their latest
high-tech systems and technologies.
