The Mazda Ibuki is a possible future

The Ibuki previewed the next-gen MX-5
design direction for the iconic Mazda MX-5 (Miata in the US). Ibuki is a Japanese word meaning 'adding vigor, or breathing new energy into'.

For such a small sports car the Ibuki rides on massive 18 inch wheels, these are pushed to the corners and sit under slightly extended wheel arches.

The Ibuki uses a rounded rectangular design motif all over the car, it is seen in the headlights, center console, seats and front air dam to name but a few.
Cutting edge technology incorporated into the Ibuki's design includes LED headlights and keycard access.

The Mazda Ibuki is powered by a 177 hp 1.6 in-line 4 cylinder mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox.
