The Kia Soul from the 2006 Detroit Motor Show was the
product of a collaboration between American and Korean
designers.
The Kia Soul SUV crossover concept is has an aggressive
and sporty exterior design, magnified by the pillarless
wrap around windscreen and sloping roof line. With no
B-pillars and suicide
rear doors, access to the Soul is easy. Inside, hi-tech
electronics are everywhere, from the integrated notebook
computer to the video screen in the glovebox. The Soul
is also equipped with a premium sound system, USB ports
and bluetooth connections.
Powered by a 2 litre petrol engine mated to a 5 speed
auto transmission turning the front wheels, off road capabilities
are probably not astonishing. But then the Soul is not
destined for production. Instead it offers a peek into
the future for upcoming Kia designs.
