Kia
Novo
The Kia Novo was a concept car created at Kia's Namyang design
center in South Korea, and unveiled for the first time at the 2015
Seoul Motor Show.
The Kia Novo is based on a Kia Forte platform and it features
coupe-inspired styling as well as a minimalist interior. The Novo's
minimal front overhangs, longer rear overhangs and fastback roofline,
as well as a slim, long glass area, give it a raked, sporty profile.
The front end of the Novo concept features the latest version of Kia's
"tiger nose" grille, which is now wider and more deeply
recessed, as well as new, slimmer laser headlights.
On the inside, the Kia Novo is minimalist, almost to the point
of being dull. Kia say the design is intended to act "as a sanctuary
from the frenzied outside world". Focused solely on the driver,
the interior provides few distractions from the task of driving, while
all occupants benefit from plenty of space, a result of the car's
long wheelbase and clever packaging.
Powering the Kia Novo concept is a turbocharged 1.6 litre 4-cylinder
engine. This is mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission
which drives the front wheels.
