The Kia Kue concept was revealed at the 2007 Detroit Auto
Show. Although purely a concept, the Kia Kue does, however,
hint at future styling directions for Kia Motors.
The Kia Kue concept is equipped with a 400-horsepower,
DOHC, supercharged
4.6-liter V8 which develops 400 lb-ft of torque. To help
the driver harness the power a full-time all wheel drive
system with predictable driving characteristics for both
on and off road is fitted.
With its wheels pushed to the corners and body tautly
stretched over its underpinnings, the Kia Kue is a simple
and attractive design. Swept back headlights connect to
the front grille to create a clean, aggressive down-road
appearance. The side window shape flows into the rear
backlight where two centerline hinging doors open to access
rear storage. A single side door on either side of the
Kue opens scissor style for easy entry and exit.
Inside the four sear Kia Kue concept is a clean, athletic
theme which complements the exterior. A technology-driven
interface inside the Kue is designed to adjust to driver
and passenger preference and is the focus of the interior
functionality. Touch pad and motion-sensing controls are
used to adjust audio and climate settings, and the entire
system is programmable so that one surface may activate
the stereo for one driver and temperature for another.
Rear passengers have their own, separate interface.
