The Tramonto was the first car to come from Fisker Coachbuild,
a company formed by Bernhard Koehler and one-time BMW
and Aston Martin designer Henrik Fisker.
Fisker's idea is to build exotic-looking, limited edition
versions of existing performance cars, much like coachbuilding
companies did in the 1920s and 1930s.
The Tramonto is based around a Mercedes-Benz SL, and no
more than 150 Tramonto's will be built.
The Past relationship Fisker had with Aston martin is
evident in the Tramonto's styling, especially around the
front end.
The Tramonto has an all-new exterior design and redesigned
interior. The grille design was inspired by high performance
aircraft, such as the F/A-22 Raptor. The Fisker Tramontos
grille echoes this with the large center opening tying
into the fuselage and the two wings expanding from the
mouth.
