The Fiat Firepoint was a concept created by ItalDesign
in 1994. The Firepoint was a 2+2 compact car with a front
transverse engine, and front-wheel-drive transmission.
It was created to fulfil a Fiat design brief which called
for a new small car which would eventually become the
Fiat Punto. Unfortunatley for ItalDesign the bizzarely
styled Firepoint was not the chosen final design.
One of the most unusual features of the Fiat Firepoint
was the curved bubble-like roof. To make the Firepoint
a little more versatile the rear and side windows could
be removed to transform it from a coupe to a roadster.
