The Dodge Rampage concept truck debuted at the 2006 Chicago
Auto Show was designed for the family, not the workyard,
sensible considering the number of trucks used for hauling
people not cargo.
The Dodge 'Passenger Priority' thinking used on the Rampage
has resulted in an extremely versatile seating and load
bay layout. The Dodge Rampage concept can accommodate
up to 5 people, or as little as 1, with loads of cargo
space. This has been achieved by making all the passenger
seats capable of folding flat into the floor with a system
Dodge calls Sto-N-Go. And by allowing the rear wall of
the cabin to fold away, the short box becomes a full size
cargo bay.
Other innovations of the Dodge Rampage include:
- Rear sliding doors
- Ramp concealed in the tailgate
- 8 foot storage compartment under the main cargo box
(seats up)
- Fold down step when the door is opened
