The Dodge Circuit EV is based on a Lotus

The Dodge Circuit EV was one of the few concepts unveiled
at the 2009 Detriot Motor Show. Based on a Lotus Europa
chassis with just a few visual changes made in an effort
to disguise it as a Dodge product the Circuit EV is a
well proportioned and attractive coupe. While the Dodge
Circuit EV retains most of the same body panels and styling
details as the Europa, up front is the trademark Dodge
crosshair grille - which suits the car suprisingly well.
However the most interesting features of the Circuit EV
lie hidden under the bodywork. In place of the conventional
internal combustion engine is a completely electric ENVI
drivetrain which consists of just three components. These
include a 268 horsepower (200 kW) electric motor to drive
the wheels, an advanced lithium-ion battery system to
power the electric motor, and a controller that manages
energy flow.
With its lithium-ion battery technology, the Dodge Circuit
EV has a driving range of 150 to 200 miles between charges
while still offering outstanding performance when required.
The 0-60 mph sprint takes under 5 seconds, while the top
speed is in excess of 120 mph.
