The Citroen DS Inside is a compact car concept which was
displayed at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show. Similar in dimensions
to the popular MINI,
new Alfa Romeo Mito and Fiat
500, the DS concept revives the traditional DS namebadge
which was retired in 1975 after 20 years of faithful service.
The styling of the DS Inside is chunky and bold which
helps to convey a sense of presence and security despite
the small overall size. One of the more unusual features
of the design is the B-pillar
which appears to stop halfway up the window. In fact it
is a full pillar however the designers have concealed
the top section under the rear side window glass.
The Citroen DS Inside concept is based on the C3 platform
and is designed to preview the upcoming production DS3
model.
