a creation of Emile Pop and Justin de Boer, two designers
from the Netherlands. The concept has spent five years
in the design process, and at the start of 2008 work began
on the first fully operational prototype.
The Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS is a 4 door, 4 person,
sports car which blurs the line between a GT and a supercar.
The Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS is constructed from high-tech,
lightweight materials. However the construction method
employs simple techniques to keep the design feasible.
The car is based around a chrome-molybendium space frame
covered with a carbon
fibre body.
The styling of the Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS is based
on "an aggressive line conflict". This design
theme relies on an arrow form connecting all the lines
from front to back.
The Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS is powered by a front
mounted GM sourced LS7 supercharged
V8 which develops 601 bhp @ 6,200 rpm, and 750 Nm of torque
@ 4,800 rpm. This is mated to an automatic transmission mounted toward the rear of the car driving
the rear wheels. Basically it's the running gear from
the C6 Chevrolet Corvette.
The suspension of the Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS is handled
by a fully independent setup with ride height adjustable
Koni dampers working in conjunction with handcrafted air suspension.
The braking is taken care of with 8 piston calipers
and 380 mm discs up front, and 4 piston calipers gripping
355 mm discs at the rear.
Entry to the Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS is through elaborate
suicide doors opened via a luxurious handmade watch. Once
inside the occupants are met with a high center console
which neatly divides the four separate passenger zones.
The interior features a 10" touch screen which controls
many functions including the doors and air conditioning
system. The Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS features fully
electric powered seats, digital TV, navigation, phone
control, audio system and a heads-up-display (HUD). The
interior styling is influenced by yachts, and features
a wood deck flooring and luxurious trim materials.
The first Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS - prototype was
completed in 2009. |
