The obviously Austin Healey 3000 inspired 'Project Tempest'
concept car was the creation of an unsuccessful former
bidder for MG Rover, Professor Krish Bhaskar. But because
Bhaskar does not own the rights to the Austin Healey brand
he calls the car Project Tempest.
If the Tempest concept is realised, it could use MG
SV running gear covered by a lightweight aluminium
body.
It is reputed that all 'Austin Healey' Tempest cars would
be electronically limited to 155mph. With the most powerful
models capable of accelerating to 100mph and braking to
a full stop in less than 12 seconds.
