The Quattro concept uses some of the
Audi RS5's underpinnings |

The original Audi Quattro was one of the company's greatest
cars to date. It featured all the ingredients which every
legendary Audi since has relied upon. Those elements are;
massive power, AWD, and functional, almost brutish aesthetics.
For 2010 Audi decided to bring the Quattro back - in concept
form at least.
The 2010 Audi Quattro concept features all the same stuff
that made the original car such a hit. Mounted up front
is a 408 horsepower 5-cylinder turbocharged engine. This
sends its power to all four wheels through a six-speed
manual gearbox coupled with the quattro AWD system synonymous
with the Audi brand. As usual the torque is split 40:60
front/rear.
The exterior design of the Quattro concept is not a million
miles away from the shape of the Audi A5 coupe, but it's
also clearly not just a simple case of throwing on a bodykit
and a few go-faster bits and pieces. The RS5 and the Quattro
concept apparently share the same underpinnings, but there's
also plenty of engineering which is unique to the individual
cars.
The squared-off and chunky rear end of the 2010 Audi Quattro
concept look great, and they are also reminiscent of the
original Quattro.
Up front the Audi Quattro concept looks a lot more modern.
There's the now trademark single frame grille, which is
flanked by some high-tech LED headlights, and a couple
of additional air intakes. The whole appearance is one
of a chiseled and sculpted machine which is very good
at going very fast.
