Concept Cars > AADA New StradaThe "New Strada" is a concept spawned by a collaboration between the AADA (African Automotive Design Association) and an Italian engineering company. The goal is to build a modern interpretation of a legendary Italian supercar. The name, and design, of the "New Strada" is inspired by the 1969 Bizzarrini Strada GT 5300, and the overall shape and design details of the on-paper-only concept clearly shows the original cars influence. The head designer of the New Strada is Jonathan Kasumba. Kasumba also used traditional African masks as inspiration for the exterior design of the concept, this has resulted in a bold distinctive face packed with multiple intakes and style lines. While the New Strada is currently in the early stages of development, the designers have made sure that their design is feasible and created diagrammatic drawings showing the New Strada's dimensions and packaging solutions. The proposed engine for the New Strada is a front mounted longitudinally positioned supercharged V8. MAKE: AADA MODEL: New Strada CONCEPT YEAR: 2006 ENGINE / DRIVETRAIN: Supercharged V8 --
