The
Honda HP-X was unveiled in 1984. Its styling was penned by Pininfarina
and the HP-X name stood for Honda Pininfarina Experimental.
The design of the HP-X was intended to show the automotive world
what Honda was capable of. Interesting features of the HP-X
included a single-piece perspex canopy which acted as windscreen,
side windows and roof, it also acted as the only form of entry
as the HP-X lacked any doors.
Power for the Honda HP-X concept came from a V6 engine mounted
behind the two-seater cockpit.
