The
Alfa Romeo Carabo, designed by Bertone's Marcello Gandini, was
a wedge-shaped supercar concept based on the Alfa Romeo Tipo
33 chassis.
First seen in 1968, the Carabo (which got its name from a small
green colored beetle) was powered by a mid-mounted V8.
The forward swinging 'scissor' doors later saw production in
the form of another Gandini creation, the Lamborghini Countach.
