> Uscull human powered submarine
The Uscull human powered submarine was designed by Milko Ozlu while studying
for his MA degree in transport design at the Royal College of Art.
The Uscull concept is capable of operation at shallow depths and seats
two oarsmen utilising similar sliding seats similar to those used
on a rowing machine.
To prevent the forward momentum gained through the power stroke being
lost on the return stroke, the oar pivots to around its axis expose
its shortest edge when moved forward.
Ozlu hopes the Uscull will become a new sport, possibly achieving
a high following and even appearing the Olympics. It certainly would
be interesting to watch!
Users of the Uscull would not require much training to operate the
miniature sub, however basic training in scuba gear use would be necessary.
